GOES GREEN.
Motorvation House is now powered only by the sun.
During the half term of Feb 2025, Motorvation Training underwent a huge transformation, investing heavily in solar power, placing a solar array on both sides of our roof, and investing in expandable battery storage. Our building is primarily powered by electricity, and with the constant pressure of annual increases in energy costs, we decided now was the time to invest in solar and future proof our building.

The Motorvation board of directors did look at grant funding options in order to help us with the costs, but we decided against taking any government grants, primarily due to how slow the wheels of government turn and the sheer amount of red tape that would be involved. Doing things ourselves cuts out this process, allowed us to work super fast and it makes us beholden to no one.
Motorvation Training always tries to use local businesses for our needs, and so we called upon the expertise of East Yorkshire Solar to help us design and fit our system. Their customer service is excellent, they responded instantly to our needs, and from that initial phone call to completing the work took around 6 weeks.

Motorvation Training now needs no power from the National Grid, we will still operate during a powercut when other businesses close and we are now looking at ways we can sell our excess energy to other small businesses in our area at a heavily reduced rate, as we would rather do this than sell the excess energy to big power companies for a paltry sum, only for them to sell it at at a greatly inflated rate.
The Motorvation Training future looks bright.
